About
As a Boston Food Justice Young Adult Volunteer (BFJYAV) I have the opportunity to work closely with a church and an organization focused on addressing the issues surrounding food scarcity, food deserts, and food injustices people face. I have found breaking bread to be a sacrosanct and genuine way to connect with others.
For the academic year of 2019-2020, I will be liaising between a church in the suburbs of Lowell, MA and a non-profit human needs center. Both of these organizations are made up of diverse communities that are challenged and encouraged by one another.
My work will include a diverse range of activities within both organizations and will be tailored to their needs as well as my own passions.
